Meet the Team: Customer Success Manager Herkko Laine

Herkko Laine works in Vektor.io’s customer team, excelling in his role as Customer Success Manager by combining his technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer experience. His studies in service design have enhanced his ability to create better customer solutions in a fast-paced software company. Describing himself as a team player, Herkko is committed to supporting both his colleagues and clients.
As a Customer Success Manager, Herkko considers himself a curious adventurer. Last year, he embraced an opportunity to move into a customer-facing role at Vektor.io, and the position already feels like a natural fit. He sees himself playing a pivotal role in advancing the infrastructure sector.
– “It’s been amazing to see how clients have adopted the software for their projects and provided positive feedback. Hosting training sessions has been particularly rewarding,” Herkko shares.
Vektor.io’s Potential Was Intriguing
Vektor.io is at an exciting stage of growth with significant clients in the infrastructure industry. When starting at the company, Herkko envisioned its potential 10 years ahead, recognizing its strong growth prospects and the chance to shape his work more personally compared to larger organizations. With the world becoming increasingly digital, Herkko finds it inspiring to witness cutting-edge software development in action.
In addition to his interest in the technical side, Herkko is passionate about user experience, which led him to pursue service design studies—knowledge that undoubtedly benefits product development as well.
Upon joining Vektor.io, Herkko felt like a welcomed addition to the team. Having traveled extensively across Finland, he appreciates the country’s rich diversity in both nature and people. In the future, his work-related travels might extend abroad as Vektor.io continues to expand its global presence.
We Need Each Other
From the outset, Herkko was impressed by the team dynamics. Vektor.io employs Finnish developers, and the organization maintains minimal hierarchy. This stands in contrast to many global settings with senior specialists. A memorable moment in the office was when someone confessed during a coffee break that they couldn’t help their child with an advanced math problem. Immediately, the entire team eagerly began solving the challenge together. Coders are natural problem-solvers, enthusiastic about tackling even the hidden complexities of a math problem.
– “I’m definitely a team player,” Herkko says. “It feels good to take tasks off my colleagues’ plates and lighten their load.”
In customer-facing work, Herkko’s goal is to ensure clients feel at ease while using Vektor.io’s product.
– “Clients may need support and training, and I’m here to provide that,” Herkko concludes, adding:
– “Ultimately, we all need each other.”
